on every corner. There is a mosque and a guest house on either side of the tomb. In front of the Taj Mahal there is a 'Charbagh' style garden, in which there is a walking path and fountains, along with it is the platform to see and green open areas and trees on either side. Location of Taj Mahal-
Taj Mahal is situated in Agra, India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated on the banks of river Yamuna and can be easily reached by road.
How to reach the Taj Mahal-
Taj Mahal is situated in Agra, India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Agra is located about 200 km from Delhi and if you use Yamuna Expressway, it is situated 165 km away. Even the road, air and rail service can be reached easily. The journey from Agra to Delhi is completed in approximately three hours. To reduce the impact of pollution,vehicles are not allowed to go near the Taj Mahal. Cars and buses are parked in a parking place at a distance of Taj Mahal and from there the pollution-free electricity buses are carried to the Taj Mahal. You can visit Agra from Delhi and see Taj Mahal in a day. However, if you want to walk further in Agra and would like to see the surrounding markets, then stay in the night is a good idea.

Best time to visit Taj Mahal-
The best time to visit the Taj Mahal is the spring of autumn, winter and from October to February. Due to the high heat, the months of May and July should be avoided. It is a hypnotizing feeling to see the Taj Mahal in the months of October to November after the monsoon. After the monsoon, water flowing in nearby Yamuna and the garden becomes green. Both of them talk about the experience of watching the Taj Mahal. 

Taj Mahal Time-
The Taj Mahal is open from sunrise i.e. 6.00 a.m. to 7 p.m. on all working days except for Friday for the visitors. A Friday prayer at the Taj Mahal premises is 12 o'clock in the mosque. At this time the tourists are not allowed to go to the Taj Mahal campus. 
Till the night of the whole moon and one night before and one night later,the Taj Mahal complex is open to the tourists, so that the Taj can be seen in the light of the moon. In the month of Ramadan and on Friday, the Taj Mahal is not allowed to be seen in the light of the moon. 
During the visit to the Taj Mahal premises, remember that only a few items are allowed with the passengers for safety reasons, such as: mobile phone, still camera, small video camera, small purses used by women and Transparent bottles of water.

History of Tajmahal-
The history of the Taj Mahal is one of the world's greatest love stories. It started in 1607, when Mughal Prince Khurram, later known as Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, saw the beautiful Arjumand Bano Begum for the first time. Empress Mehrunnisa, who later became known as Noor Jahan, Arjumand was her niece. Jahangir's son expressed his desire to marry Arjumand and after a few years he was married with  big fanfare.

Facts of Taj Mahal-
Construction: The Taj Mahal was built in 23 years. It was constructed in 1632 after the death of Mumtaz Mahal in 1631 and completed around 1653.

Deadline: The construction of the main tomb was completed in 1648 and in the next five years surrounding buildings and orchards. 

Number of artisans: Twenty thousand artisans and workers  constructed this building,  gardens and worked fine workmanship and carving.

Architect: Its chief architect was Ustad Ahmad Lahauri or Ustad Eisa. The other artisans working on this building were: Amanat Khan of Shiraz, who was the main calligrapher in Iran, Chiranjilal of Delhi, who specializes in precious stones, was the chief decorative sculptor. Muhammad Haneef watched the financial management of daily construction at the site of the Chief Supervisor of Rajgars and Abdul Karim Mamur Khan and Makramat Khan.

Role of Elephants: More than 1,000 elephants are employed in carrying out the necessary materials, marble blocks and other materials used in any construction work at the construction site.

Source of material used in the construction: Nearly 28 different types of semi-precious and precious stones were used in the work of embroidery inside the grave. These stones include Lapis Lajuli from Afghanistan, Neelam from Sri Lanka, Firoz from Tibet, Jade and Crystal China, Cornellian from Arabia and Jasper from Punjab. White marble was brought from Makrana of Rajasthan.

Total cost of construction: According to scholars, the total cost of construction of Taj Mahal was approximately 32 million rupees according to that time.
